Many photographers will tout their passion for the art, their competitive pricing, their attention to quality and their undivided service as they tell you about why they should be your chosen photographer......I would think that as a consumer, you would expect nothing less from any photographer you hire. But, I also think you should expect more...
"A picture is worth 1,000 words". How many times have we heard that in our life? Anyone with a camera can take a picture. Sometimes they will even get lucky and snap a real good image. But when that special time comes, do you want to take such a chance? When I capture an image, I try to bring out who the person or persons are. To let their emotion come to the surface. Letting them express themselves in such a way that they tell a story through the image that is captured. These are treasured moments that can last a lifetime, together we can make the image say more than 1000 words.
I was always the person who never wanted my picture taken.....if you don't believe me, ask my wife ha ha. I can relate to how you are feeling if that describes you or someone in your family. Through continuous dialog, I am able to get people to relax and actually enjoy the experience. For most of you, you haven't had your photo professionally taken since your high school graduation or wedding vows. For you graduating seniors, there is a very good chance you've never been professionally photographed. I am here to work with you in creating the most compelling images possible.
For product photography, I shoot with my head and not my heart. I am not a photographer who let's their art get in the way of capturing what the client wants and what makes the consumer to react to. The main objective is how to capture that specific product to make it compelling for the end user to buy. My 24 years of magazine, catalog and direct mail marketing play a big role in my product photography.
My style of shooting is fun, laid back, but efficient. Communication is key prior to, during and after the shoot. No matter what type of shoot you are planning, I am a firm believer in communication and setting clear expectations.....and above all, having fun capturing this moment in time.
It all starts with an email, so what are you waiting for?
